Land Rover has launched the 2025 Defender lineup in India, featuring a range of upgrades that enhance both its performance and luxury. The new Defender is available in three body styles: Defender 90, 110, and 130, with prices starting at Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom).

One of the standout updates for the 2025 model is the introduction of the V8 P425 engine across more variants. This 5.0-litre V8 powerhouse produces 419 bhp and 62.2 kgm of torque, offering significantly improved performance. Previously available only in top-end trims, the V8 engine is now available in the X-Dynamic HSE and X variants, expanding its reach and appeal.

The Defender 130, which offers a three-row seating configuration, also sees a major update with the addition of a new Captain Chairs Pack. This option provides individual second-row seats for increased luxury and ease of access to the third row. Inside, the cabin is upgraded with premium materials like Windsor leather and Kvadrat or Ultrafabrics, along with a redesigned centre console for better storage solutions.

The 2025 Defender also gets a host of technological enhancements, including Terrain Response 2, Configurable Terrain Response, and Electronic Air Suspension. The rugged nature of the SUV is further emphasised by its 20-inch Satin Dark Grey alloy wheels and all-terrain tires.
