Ajith Kumar, affectionately known as “Thala” in the Tamil film industry, has once again made a significant leap into the world of professional racing!
He has recently launched his own racing team, Ajith Kumar Racing, which is geared towards competing in the 2024 European GT4 Championship.
The actor has confirmed that he will be sharing the driving seat with Fabian Duffieux. A renowned Belgian driver currently associated with Simpson Teleios Motorsport and piloting the BMW M4 GT4.
Duffieux boasts an impressive racing pedigree, having secured championship titles in the GT4 Middle East in both 2022 and 2024. He has also achieved notable podium finishes, including second place in Barcelona, 2024 and a first place in Kuwait, 2023.
The Ajith Kumar Racing team has confirmed its attendace in the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup category.
While the official confirmation is pending, recent Instagram posts also hint at the possibility of a multi-category team. The two drivers were in Dubai testing a Ferrari 488 EVO Challenge.
