The Q3 is an interesting car; it serves as a means of entry into Audi SUV’s lineup, while countering threats from the GLA and the X1. The Q3 is essentially for someone who wants the luxury and premium feel of an Audi, but without having to care for speed-breakers and bad roads. Audi has now launched the Bold Edition of the Q3 and the Q3 Sportback, priced at Rs 54.65 lakh to Rs 55.71 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

Only some outer bits have changed on the Audi Q3 Bold Edition

So, how ‘bold’ is the new Audi Q3 Bold Edition lineup? The car maker has differentiated it from the regular car on the outside, giving it blacked-out elements such as a gloss black grille, black Audi rings at the front and the rear, black-finished window surrounds, roof rails, and ORVMs. Dual-tone alloy rims are available as an option.

In every other aspect, the Bold Edition Audi Q3 and the Q3 Sportback remain identical to their standard versions, featuring the same interior layout swathed in a leather-leatherette combination, and equipment such as powered front seats with four-way lumbar adjust, along with dual-zone climate control, Audi’s MMI navigation and Virtual Cockpit Plus, a 10-speaker sound system, paddle shifters, park assist with rear camera, drive modes, and a gesture-controlled tailgate among other things.

It also continues with the same 2.0-litre TFSI powertrain, producing 187 bhp and 32.63 kgm of torque, paired to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. Power goes to all wheels with Quattro all-wheel drive, and it is safe to say that the Bold Edition will be just as versatile when it comes to the driving experience.
