The first press conference of Auto Expo 2018 has turned out to be a good one, with Maruti Suzuki showcasing the Concept Future S. Maruti claims that with the compact SUV — which is the next step in MSIL’s design language — it manages to offer a vehicle in the segment without hampering the overall proportions.
Designed in-house, the ConceptFutureS has a unique design, an upright front-end styling, high ground clearance, and sleek headlamps. On the inside, the ‘bold and exciting’ interior boasts a spherical human-machine interface. while the ivory-coloured cabin also gets orange accents.
The exterior is equally colourful, too. The orange paint-job is complemented by the use of white and silver, which helps the ConceptFutureS achieve what Maruti calls a playful appearance.
Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki, Kenichi Ayukawa, said, “Compact is the natural choice of India’s car customers. Compact needs a fresh design language, one that is bold, confident and dynamic. Our designers have created this brand new design, aggressive on the outside, and bold and inviting interiors. Nothing like this has ever been attempted before on a vehicle this size. ConceptFutureS will define the next generation of design for compact vehicles in India”.
