BMW Group India has announced automotive veteran Hardeep Singh Brar as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2025. He succeeds Vikram Pawah, who transitions to lead BMW Group Australia and New Zealand after significantly growing the Indian market.
Brar brings over 30 years of Indian automotive expertise to BMW, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Kia India. His distinguished career includes leadership roles at Maruti Suzuki, Volkswagen, General Motors, and Nissan, where he spearheaded sales, marketing, network expansion, and customer experience strategies.
