BMW India has officially opened pre-bookings for the new 2 Series Gran Coupe, ahead of its launch on 17 July 2025. Interested buyers can reserve the upcoming sedan by paying Rs 1.50 lakh either through BMW’s official website or by visiting the nearest dealership.
It will be available in two variants – 218i M Sport and 218i M Sport Pro. Powering the sedan is a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 156 bhp and 23.45 kgm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Power is sent to the front wheels. Interestingly, while the new model retains the sporty character BMW is known for, it produces 20 bhp and 5 kgm less than the outgoing version, suggesting a stronger focus on efficiency and refinement this time around.
The 2 Series Gran Coupe comes equipped with a wide range of features. Highlights include an illuminated kidney grille, adaptive LED headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, BMW Driving Assistant, Head-Up Display (HUD), Parking Assistant Plus, dual-zone climate control, a Harman Kardon premium sound system, wireless smartphone charging, and vegan Sensatec leatherette upholstery.

Buyers will have a choice of four exterior colours – Black Sapphire, Alpine White, Brooklyn Grey Metallic, and M Portimao Blue Metallic. The interior will be offered in a single premium Sensatec Mocha trim.
Once launched, the new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe will directly rival the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine, bringing a strong mix of style, features, and BMW’s signature driving dynamics to the entry-level luxury sedan space.
