Citroen has officially unveiled the C3 Aircross. This SUV will be the third model for the Indian market for the French manufacturer and will be available to buyers later this year. Also, it will go head-to-head with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Skoda Kushaq.
Up front, the C3 Aircross is finished in gloss black and flanked by Citroen’s traditional split headlight design with Y-shaped LED daytime running lights. A rectangular air dam with fog lamps on either side and a silver skid plate complete the package. The rear has a striking resemblance to that of the smaller C3. The Citroen C3 Aircross has a length of 4300 mm, a wheelbase of 2671 mm, and a ground clearance of 200 mm.
Inside, the C3 Aircross has three rows of seats. The final row can be folded or eliminated entirely. It gets 511 litres of cargo (with the third row of seats removed). The dashboard design is identical to that of the C3, with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. Besides this, it does have a digital instrument cluster and automatic climate control with rear AC vents installed on the roof.
Under the hood, the C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 108 bhp and 19.37 kgm. The SUV will initially be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox, with an automated option coming later. Do let us know what you think of the C3 Aircross.
