Datsun India has announced an increase in production of the limited edition redi-GO Sport hatchback. Launched last month, the initially allotted lot of a thousand units has been sold in a month’s time. And to keep up with the demand, the company will make another 800 units.
The car, priced at Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), was, er, is available in three colours: ruby, white, and grey. Specified in top trim, it features body graphics, wheel covers, roof spoiler, and colour-coded accents on the grille and wheel covers.

In comparison to the regular version, the car boasts nine changes – none of which are mechanical – including an all-black interior, black stripes, and red accents. Elsewhere it remains unchanged. Standard features include a Bluetooth-enabled audio system, remote keyless entry, and reverse parking sensors.
It shares its underpinnings with the Renault Kwid, hence powering the car is an 0.8-litre, three cylinder petrol engine that makes 53 bhp and 7.3 kgm. And like the Kwid, its fuel efficiency is rated at 25.17 km/l.
