Rejoice! The Ferrari GTC4Lusso and GTC4Lusso T made their break in India. Atypical of Ferraris in general (although by no means a one-off), the GTC4 is a four-seater Ferrari that aims to cram you and three others in ridiculously modest comfort. The rear seats, however, are just trophy seats; they aren’t really meant to carry any people around.
Anyway, on to the meaty stuff. This new Grand Tourer comes with two engine options: a manic 6.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 in the GTC4Lusso that makes 680 bhp (that’s 30 bhp more than the FF) and 71 kgm. It will rev to 8250 rpm (dear Lord) and will scramble to 100 kph faster than you can scream ‘Bloody murder’ (3.4 seconds). Top speed? Not like you’d find the place to reach it, but it’s nice to know anyway: 335 kph. The GTC4Lusso T (or the tree-hugger variant) gets a 3.9-litre V8 turbo that makes 603 bhp and 77 kgm. Zero-100 kph is done away with in 3.5 seconds and it goes on to a slightly more modest 320 kph.
What’s interesting to note is that the T comes in a rear-wheel drive format, whereas the NA V12 one gets four-wheel steer. If you’re interested in knowing, there are things like a 10.2-inch touchscreen and an 8.8-inch touchscreen for the passenger as well, and Apple CarPlay. You’d be mad to care about all that, though.
The price for all this? Rs 5.2 crore for the GTC4Lusso and Rs 4.2 crore for the GTC4Lusso T (ex-showroom, of course). Get ready to pony up some money!
