Fiat has launched a new variant of the Linea – called 125 S – which has the same 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol as the T-Jet, but in a new more powerful state of tune, producing 123 bhp. Other than the changed engine tune, Fiat has also replaced the simpler infotainment system which the Linea comes with now, with a 5 inch touchscreen which offers navigation, Bluetooth, can accept SD cards and also display the feed from a reversing camera. Although it isnt mentioned whether a parking camera is offered now with the Linea, because none of the present variants have one. The Linea 125 S range starts from Rs 7.82 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
There are changes to the rest of the range too, with both the Punto EVO and the Avventura receiving the same touchscreen infotainment from the Linea 125 S. Also the 90 bhp versions of the 1.3-litre engine get a brand upgrade with all cars with that engine tune getting ‘PowerTech’ added to their name. The Punto EVO range with the PowerTech engines will start from Rs 6.81 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) for the Active variant, with the similar Avventura variant priced at Rs 7.87 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
