Hyundai Motors India Limited expands its electric lineup with the introduction of the Creta EV . Now featured on the brand’s official Indian website, the launch of this much-anticipated electric SUV is just around the corner. Building on the strong legacy of the iconic Creta, this EV aims to meet the needs of India’s growing EV market.
The Creta EV retains the design of the Creta, with a pixelated front grille integrated with a charging dock, sleek LED tail lamps, and bold bumper accents. The active air flaps help optimize aerodynamics while assisting in cooling essential components. Completing its dynamic exterior are the R17 Aero alloy wheels paired with low rolling resistance tires.
The Creta EV offers two battery options, a 51.4 kWh pack with a 473 km range and a 42 kWh pack with a 390 km range. Charging is efficient, with DC fast charging completing 10-80 per cent in under an hour.
The electric SUV delivers dynamic performance, achieving 0-100 kph in 7.9 seconds in its long-ranged version. Additional features such as i-Pedal driving and shift-by-wire gear controls add to its convenience.
It also supports Vehicle-to-Load technology, enabling the vehicle to power external devices. The digital key feature allows users to control the vehicle using their smartphone or smartwatch.
The Creta EV will be available in four variants — Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence featuring eight monotone and two dual-tone colour options, including three matte finishes. The Ocean Blue Metallic with a black roof stands out as a key option.
The Creta EV builds on the legacy of the beloved Creta, delivering a locally produced EV that blends trusted design with eco-friendly performance. With competitors like the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Maruti e-Vitara, it seems the electric future just got a bit more interesting.
