The latest iteration of the Hyundai Verna seems to have done wonders for the brand. Or at least that’s what the initial numbers suggest. In a period of 40 days, there have been more than 124,000 enquiries made for the car, out of which more than 15,000 bookings have been registered, too.
The car shares its platform with the oh-so-pretty Elantra, and comes with a choice of 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. You can read more about the all-new Hyundai Verna in our First Drive review here.
HMIL’s MD and CEO, Y K Koo said, “The Next Gen VERNA is intelligent by Design – A global product that personifies Hyundai’s Modern Premium Brand. As committed despite the production constraint; we will deliver 12,000 cars before Diwali and 20,000 cars by end of this year at an introductory price. We are happy with great response to Next Gen VERNA and thank our customers and media for their trust in Hyundai Brand.”
