Jeep has confirmed that the fifth-generation Grand Cherokee will officially be launched in India in November 2022. The new Jeep Grand Cherokee will be manufactured in India, just like the company’s current models.
The latest generation Grand Cherokee will be the fourth model from the brand’s line-up to be made in India. This would make India the only country outside North America to produce four models. The other three are the Jeep Compass, Jeep Meridian and the Jeep Wrangler.
According to Jeep, the new Grand Cherokee will be equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The SUV will also get a full connectivity package with 24×7 assistance. It will also see a host of premium features, poised to bring more to customers in the premium end of the E-segment SUV category.
Jeep hasn’t revealed the engine options that will be available in the Grand Cherokee. That being said, in the international market, the SUV comes with either a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 petrol, a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 or a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol plug-in hybrid. This gives the Indian market lots to look forward to, so stay tuned for more updates.
