The Defender has been doing well for JLR India since its launch in October 2020, selling in good numbers (you can see a lot of them roaming around Gurgaon, btw). And Land Rover has just come out with a handful of updates for the 2024 model year.

Starting straight up with the powertrains, the Defender now gets a new D350 diesel engine, pushing the power up by 49.3 bhp to 345.2 bhp, and the torque by 5 kgm, to an impressive 71.38 kgm.

There’s a new signature interior pack on offer across all the three body options. This includes 14-way electrically adjustable front seats with heating, cooling and memory functions, coupled with comfy winged headrests. There are climate seats in the second row, as well as heated seats even in the third row of the 110 and 130 models.

You can now opt for captain seats in the middle row of the Defender 130 X and V8 models. Still not comfortable enough? Well, you can add optional winged headrests to those captain seats as well.

There’s a new Defender 110 Sedona Edition too! This special edition features a Sedona Red exterior along with an Extended Black Pack and 22-inch gloss-black alloy wheels. The Sedona Edition will just be on offer for a period of one year. It comes with an optional Sedona-themed bonnet decal. You also get Ebony Windsor Leather and Kvadrat seats, which are also a part of the aforementioned signature interior pack.

Is this getting a bit confusing? Let’s see what all updates make it to the India-bound Defenders. Look out for this space for further developments!
