The mighty Lexus LX500d has come to our shores, and it will set you back by Rs 2.82 crore (ex-showroom). This comes to India via the CBU route. The LX500d is a five-seater SUV that measures 5100 mm in length, 1990 mm in width, 1885 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2850 mm. When fitted with a 22-inch rim size, it has a ground clearance of 210 mm.
Since the LX500d is based on the same platform as the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, it has plenty of things in common with the Land Cruiser. In terms of performance, it is powered by a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine that produces 305 bhp and 71.38 kgm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox along with an all-wheel-drive system.
As far as features go, the LX500d features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 7-inch touchscreen display below it controls the HVAC. Moreover, it also gets an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 25-speaker 3D sound system by Mark Levinson, among other things. For its interiors, you get to choose between four colours and three trims options, and for its exteriors, you get five colour options to choose from. If you had to pick the Lexus LX500d or the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, which one would you pick?
