Come next year, and Mahindra & Mahindra products will be expensive. Increase in freight costs and raw material prices have made the company take the step. Keep in mind that other manufacturers have also made similar price hike announcements already.
For passenger cars, the increase will be anywhere between Rs 3,000 and Rs 26,500, depending on the model. On the other hand, small commercial vehicles (with a capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes) will be more expensive by Rs 1,500 to Rs 6,000, while larger trucks will witness a price hike of 0.5 to 1.1 per cent.
So if you’ve zeroed in on which Mahindra you’re planning to buy, save yourself from said price hike, and book one at the earliest. On the flip side, while doing so will help you bypass the hike, buying a 2016-made car will have an adverse effect on its resale value, should you plan to sell it in the near future.
