Maruti Suzuki has announced that 75419 Balenos manufactured between August 3, 2015 and May 17, 2016 are part of recall to upgrade the airbag controller software. Of these, 15995 diesel Balenos manufactured between August 3, 2015 and March 22, 2016 will undergo replacement of the fuel filter, which is part of a simultaneous recall. Of the total figure, 17231 units are models that are exported, making the number of India-market cars affected 58188.
The Swift Dzire is also part of the recall that involves the faulty fuel filter, but the issue concerns only those cars fitted with the AMT gearbox. 1961 cars are affected by this recall.
