JSW MG Motor India has confirmed that the refreshed MG Hector will make its debut on December 15, 2025, marking the SUV’s third major update since its launch in 2019. The Hector has had a knack for reinventing itself every few years, and this latest round seems no different.

MG Hector Facelift

A quick teaser gives us a taste of what’s coming. Front and centre is a reworked grille that now wears a bold, wide-mouth mesh pattern with thick vertical chrome accents. The familiar split-headlamp setup stays, but the bumper looks beefier with chunkier cladding that should give the nose a bit more attitude. Around the back, the connected tail lamp design continues, though expect a tweaked bumper and new alloy wheels to round off the facelift.

Inside, MG is likely sharpening the tech quotient – think updated touchscreen, fresh features, and possibly improved ADAS functions. Under the hood, no surprises: the proven 1.5 turbo-petrol and 2.0 diesel engines should return. The petrol continues with manual and CVT options, while the diesel sticks to its manual roots.

Once launched, the updated Hector will square up against rivals like the Tata Harrier and the soon-to-arrive Mahindra XUV 7XO – a segment that’s clearly gearing up for an eventful 2026.
