Michelin announced the launch of its latest truck and bus tyre, the MICHELIN X Multi Energy Z+, for the Indian market. This latest entry to the Michelin ‘made-in-India’ tyres has been specially engineered for Indian road and load conditions and also takes into account the growing demand for fuel-efficient tyres by Indian fleet owners.
According to Michelin, the Multi Energy Z+ offers the lowest rolling resistance that delivers up to 15 per cent fuel savings. It also emphasized the reduction of CO2 emissions by up to 8000 kgs.
Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director of Michelin India, expressed excitement about bringing the next generation MICHELIN X Multi Energy Z+ to Indian customers following the successful launch of the MICHELIN X Multi Energy Z range in 2020. He highlighted that the MICHELIN X Multi Energy Z+ addresses the significant issue of high fuel costs in logistics, which account for up to 60% of the operating expenses for Indian fleet owners, by providing excellent fuel efficiency and reducing their overall costs.
