When visiting a dealership these days, customers are often bombarded with numerous models and variants to choose from—each carefully curated by automakers to cater to a wide range of buyer preferences. Contrary to popular belief, it’s not the top-spec variants that sell the most, but rather the mid-spec ones, which customers perceive as offering the best value for money.

Recognizing this demand, Mahindra has introduced two new variants of the 3XO: the REVX M and REVX A. These variants are aimed at customers who want a feature-rich experience without significantly stretching their budget. The REVX M trim slots between the MX2 and MX3 variants, while the REVX A sits between the AX5 and AX5L trims. Prices for the REVX M start at ₹8.94 lakh, and the REVX A is priced at ₹11.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Mahindra has clarified that these REVX variants will be sold alongside the existing MX and AX lineups.

Mechanically, the REVX M is identical to the MX2 variant, but Mahindra has added a few creature comforts. These include black leatherette seats, a body-coloured grille, a dual-tone roof, 16-inch black wheel covers, and a height-adjustable driver seat. Given the popularity of sunroofs in India, Mahindra is also offering a REVX M (O) trim that adds a single-pane sunroof to the list of features. The REVX M continues to be powered by the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (XX) and is offered exclusively with a manual transmission.

The REVX A, on the other hand, has a distinctive standout feature that many customers will appreciate—a panoramic sunroof, which is not available even on the AX5L trim. Other highlights include black leatherette seats, a dual-tone roof, piano black-finished 16-inch alloy wheels, and a body-coloured grille. Interestingly, despite sitting above the AX5L in the lineup, the REVX A misses out on some features like Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, auto-dimming IRVM, electronic parking brake, and a cooled glove box. In essence, the REVX A trades some high-tech features for the added appeal of a panoramic sunroof.

As for the powertrain, the REVX A is equipped with the 1.2-litre TGDi petrol engine that produces 96 kW and 230 Nm of torque. It is available with both manual and automatic gearbox options.
