Tata Motors has launched the Dark Edition of its coupe SUV, the Curvv, with prices ranging between Rs 16.49 lakh and Rs 19.52 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Available only in the Accomplished S and Accomplished + A variants, the Curvv Dark Edition features an all-new colour scheme alongside a few other visual details. Curvv’s electric counterpart, the Curvv EV, has yet to receive the same treatment from the manufacturer.
What’s New?
Like every other Dark Edition Tata Motors offers, the Curvv features a new paint option called Carbon Black. The variant also features ‘Dark’ badging on the front fenders, and the bumpers, grille, and 18-inch alloy wheels have been given an all-black treatment. Additionally, the Curvv offers cladding around the wheel arch and doors, a silver faux skid plate on the rear bumper, and a full-width LED light bar on the front and back.
On the inside, Tata has continued the blacked-out theme with black leatherette upholstery, ‘Dark’ crests on the headrests, and a black dashboard. Compared to the standard Curvv, the Dark Edition will also get rear sunshades, which are exclusive to this variant only.
What are the features?
Like the top-spec Curvv, it continues to offer a nine-speaker JBL sound system, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charger, reclining rear seats, inbuilt air purifier, six airbags, and brake discs for all four wheels. The Curvv Accomplished + A variant additionally gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with integrated Amazon Alexa, gesture-controlled tailgate, and level 2 ADAS.
Powertrain Options
Since the Dark Edition for the Curvv is purely cosmetic and is offered solely on the range-topping Accomplished Trim, it is offered with either a 1.2-litre direct injection turbo-petrol engine making 125 bhp and 22.94 kgm or a 1.5-litre diesel motor producing 118 bhp and 26.51 kgm. Both engines can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
