Jaguar recently updated its XF saloon and XF Sportbrake. The changes include an updated exterior and interior design, added connectivity features and a new diesel-hybrid engine. On the outside, there’s a revised look all around with a new front bumper, all-LED headlights, new grille and new rear bumper. Other new innovative additions include an Active Road Noise Cancellation feature along with cabin air ionisation with PM2.5 filtration to capture ultrafine particles and allergen.
Move inside and you’ll find that Jaguar has completely reworked the interiors. Everything from the cockpit design and new seats to the drive selector, there’s a concentrated effort to make this particular update of the XF feel significant. Keeping with the times, Jaguar has added the Pivi Pro dual-sim infotainment system which can be operated through the 11.4-inch touchscreen. The company will also provide Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates to keep the system as up to date as possible.
There’s also a new diesel motor with mild-hybrid technology called the MHEV. The 2.0-litre i4 diesel MHEV engine produces 202 bhp, which is 24 bhp more than the previous engine option. There are also 2 Ingenium petrol engines on offer, both of which are 2.0-litre units. However, one produces 247 bhp while the other makes 296 bhp. All these engines come mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive for select models. We do hope this update makes its way to our shores soon.
