From 592 bhp to 612 bhp, Ferrari’s Portofino gets a 20-bhp boost from its 3.9-litre V8 engine and a go-fast ‘M’ tag slapped on as well. The Portofino M gets a new 8-speed gearbox sourced directly from the Ferrari SF90, but with different gear ratios. To extract maximum power, the first seven gears have short ratios, while the eighth gear is an overdrive. And to test its limits, it features a new Race mode that makes its way to the five-position Manettino switch.
On the design side, it gets restyled front bumpers and a new exhaust system, with a few changes made to its rear diffuser as well. It seems like the Portofino M wants to shed its soft entry-level Ferrari tag, and it does. Because there won’t be a non-M Portofino variant in Ferrari’s stable anymore. We dig it.
