The 320d had a Sport variant on sale for a brief period before getting dropped from its lineup in March 2020. Now, it has been launched again starting at Rs 42.1 lakh, ex-showroom, India.
Both the 330i Sport and 320d Sport share the same set of features except for the M Sport steering wheel seen on the 330i. In terms of brute power, the 330i is faster on paper than the diesel power plant. The 320d is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine producing 187 bhp.
On the feature front, there seems to be no change in this new variant. It still gets features like auto LED headlights, 3-zone climate control, powered front seats, sunroof, cruise control and launch control among other things. If you are not big on the digital instrument clusters, the Sport variant skips that bit along with ambient interior lighting, Apple CarPlay, 10.25-inch touchscreen and hands-free parking.
As for safety, the 320d Sport gets six airbags, ABS, ESC, traction control, tyre-pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera. The BMW 320d undercuts its nearest rival, the Jaguar XE which is priced at Rs 46.64 lakh, ex-showroom.
