For 2022, Renault India has given the people an extra option to choose from. It has added another trim to the Kwid’s lineup. With a starting price of Rs 4.49 lakh, the Renault Kwid RXL(O) variant is available in both 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre engine options.
Speaking of the engine options, the Kwid is offered in two powertrains, a 799cc petrol engine which produces 53 bhp and 7.34 kgm of torque and a 999cc petrol engine churning 68 bhp and 9.27 kgm of torque. Only the latter comes with a choice of either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT ‘box.
Renault says that it has sporty white accents added to the Climber edition’s exteriors and interiors. And some more colour to its range — Metal Mustard & Ice Cool White with Black roof in Dual Tone and Moonlight Silver & Zanskar Blue in Monotone. There’s dual-tone treatment on its wheels, too.
Other features on this trim include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, video playback and voice recognition, reverse parking camera with guidelines and electrically adjustable ORVM. As far as safety goes, it offers dual front airbags, ABS and EBD, seat belt reminder, overspeed alert, to name a few.
