The Skoda Monte Carlo is back, but wait! It looks very different? What happened?
The Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo edition is now available in India, with cosmetic upgrades that set it apart from the base model. Reservations for this special edition start today.
The Monte Carlo retains the standard Slavia’s powertrains. It offers a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. Both options come with manual and automatic transmissions. See the details below:
Engine Type | Displacement (cc) | Power (BHP) | Torque (KGm) | Transmission | Fuel Type |
---|---|---|---|---|---|

1.5L TSI Turbocharged Petrol | 1498 | 150 | 25.5 | 7-speed DSG Automatic (Dual-Clutch) | Petrol |
The Monte Carlo edition has several exterior updates. It features a black-finished radiator grille, black fog lamp surrounds, black side skirts, a Monte Carlo badge on the fender, and a black lip spoiler.
The car also has all-black 16-inch alloy wheels, dark chrome door handles, and a dual-tone finish with the sunroof. The rear includes dark LED tail lamps and a black rear diffuser.
Inside, the Slavia Monte Carlo has a red and black colour scheme. Red accents on the dashboard, a red-themed instrument cluster, aluminium pedals, dark door trims, and red stitching on panels and armrests add to the style. The front seats are leatherette with Monte Carlo inscription, powered, ventilated, and finished in black and red.
For safety, the car includes ESC, ABS, a tire pressure monitoring system, and other features.
Both Monte Carlo and Sportline editions offer unique looks, with Rs 30,000 benefits for the first 5,000 bookings. The Slavia competes with the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, and Volkswagen Virtus in the midsize sedan market.
The Monte Carlo edition is priced from Rs 15.79 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1.0 MT variant. This price is Rs 20,000 less than the top-spec Prestige variant. The Sportline trim, priced at Rs 15.15 lakh, offers similar black finishes but adds features like aluminium pedals and a powered sunroof.
