If you’ve been looking for an EV with a respectable range, the Tata Tigor EV can be on your list. Of course, the Tigor EV with the extended range costs a little extra. Prices for the base XE model start at Rs 12.49 lakh and go up to Rs 13.75 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). You can choose between four variants — XE, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux.
The Tigor EV is powered by an electric motor that produces 74 bhp and 17.34 kgm. It is propelled by a 26-kWh battery pack with a range of 315 km (ARAI certified). If you want to know how the Tigor EV handles, you can read it in Rivan’s story here.
Rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, cruise control, leatherette upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are among the new features of the Tigor EV. Besides all this, it’s also available in a new exterior colour — Magnetic Red. All models include standard features such as multi-mode regen, Zconnect, wristwatch connectivity, iTPMS, and a tyre puncture kit.
Are you bummed that your Tigor EV doesn’t have all that kit? Well, the existing Tigor EV customers will be able to acquire free upgrades to multi-mode regen, iTPMS, and tyre puncture kits beginning from the 20th of December. Also, if you own the XZ+ or XZ+ dual-tone models, your Tigor EV receives a smartwatch connectivity upgrade.
