Today wasn’t just about the EQA though; Mercedes-Benz also rolled out the EQB facelift, which can now be had in a five-seater version as well. With prices starting from Rs 70.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mercedes-Benz EQA is a unique competitor against the likes of the Kia EV6, Volvo XC40 Recharge, C40 Recharge, and the BMW iX1.
The Mercedes-Benz EQB borrows the grille panel from its smaller sibling, the EQA, new alloy rims, and a revised DRL pattern for the tail lamps. You can also choose between two drivetrains; the 70.5 kWh battery spec that’s identical to the EQA 250+ with 188 bhp and 39.25 kgm of torque, but with a claimed range of 447 km on a single charge. Then there’s the EQB 350 with all-wheel drive, producing 288 bhp and 53.02 kgm of torque and offering a claimed range of 535 km.
Similar to the EQA, the EQB also packs a Burmester sound system, 360-degree camera, an ADAS suite, dual-zone climate control and more. While the EQB 250+ comes in at Rs 70.90 lakh, the EQB 350 is priced at Rs 77.50 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
