Making the Innova Crysta more distinguished than before, Toyota has launched the Innova Touring Sport. Available in both petrol and diesel engine options, the Innova Touring Sport comes with added aesthetic features, both in and out.
Talking of which, on the outside, there’s an increase in the use of black — the radiator grille, alloy wheels, wheel cladding, rear spoiler, rear door garnish; all are black. The headlamps also receive a smoked treatment, while the inclusion of chrome ensures that the Innova Touring Sport’s exterior don’t have to depend on the body colour for sheen. There are two paints to choose from: Wildfire (red) and White Pearl Crystal Shine (erm, white).
On the inside, it’s got more red than before — there’s the red stitch on seats, steering, etc.; red wood on the instrument panel; and red lighting for the instrument console. And there’s faux wood inserts finished in black for certain parts as well.
Away from the added sporting bits, there’s the usual set of engine/drivetrain options: 2.4-litre diesel (MT), 2.8-litre (AT), and 2.7-litre petrol (MT and AT). There hasn’t been a change in the suspension tuning, so expect the impeccable ride as before, while it remains rear-wheel drive, too.
Elsewhere it continues with the same list of features with up to seven airbags, ABS, and other active safety features viz. Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Start, etc.
And the price for all that, you may ask. Well, according to Toyota, they’ve managed to offer more goodies than the nominal increase of Rs 75,000 might get otherwise. With that said, the Petrol MT starts at Rs 17.79 lakh, Petrol AT at Rs 20.84 lakh, Diesel MT at Rs 18.91 lakh, and Diesel AT at Rs 22.15 lakh.
The model commemorates the Innova Crysta’s one year celebration, and will be offered alongside the regular version. All the impatient ones sitting on the corner of their chairs will be glad to know that bookings have begun already.
