Toyota has made a significant announcement, confirming its return to Formula 1 through a technical partnership with the Haas F1 Team. This marks Toyota’s re-entry into the sport after a 15-year absence, following their exit in 2009. The partnership will see Toyota Gazoo Racing, the company’s motorsport and R&D division, sharing its expertise and resources with Haas.

This collaboration comes alongside Haas’s existing partnership with Ferrari, which has been in place since their entry into Formula 1 in 2016. The alliance with Toyota will provide Haas with additional technical support and resources, aiming to enhance its competitiveness in the sport.

Toyota’s previous involvement in Formula 1 as a works team spanned eight seasons, during which they achieved 13 podium finishes and a best result of fourth in the constructors’ championship.
