Volkswagen recently did a global unveiling of the next-generation Polo. Meanwhile, Volkswagen India is still keeping the old Polo relevant in our market by feeding it with minor updates. This time, the Comfortline TSI trim gets an automatic gearbox. It’s a mid-range variant with a starting price of Rs 8.51 lakh, ex-showroom, India. That’s only Rs 2,000 over the Highline Plus with a manual gearbox variant. Powering the Polo is the peppy 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI engine, which produces 108 bhp and 17.85 kgm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic ‘box.
Moreover, the Comfortline TSI trim has quite a few features on offer. For instance, it comes with automatic climate control, a 7-inch touch screen infotainment display, Bluetooth and a 17.7-cm Blaupunkt music system. There are multiple colours to choose from, which includes Flash Red, Sunset Red, Candy White, Reflex Silver and Carbon Steel.
Since we are still under lockdown, you can book the Polo via Volkswagen India’s website, or visit your nearest dealership depending on the lockdown restrictions in your city.
