Volvo marked World EV Day by launching a 3,250 km electric vehicle drive across the country, covering the distance from India’s driest region to its wettest. The journey, which spans the country from west to east, aimed to showcase the range and reliability of the Volvo C40 Recharge in diverse and challenging weather conditions.
The drive started in Jaisalmer and moved through cities including Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Agra, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Darbhanga, Siliguri, Chaprakata, and Shillong, concluding in Mawsynram.
Volvo also launched a project in June that led to the planting of 10,300 trees, reflecting the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
In their press release, Volvo stated that this initiative furthers the company’s aim to become climate-neutral by 2024. Volvo also addressed customers’ concerns about the range of the C40.
