‘Save Earth Ride’ is a global nature conservation initiative by bikers, established in 2019. Organised annually by MotoFed, SER takes place between June and September, uniting bikers to plant trees and do their bit for the planet.
The sixth edition of SER commenced on World Environment Day, June 5, 2024.
This year, the biking community, including riders from Avid Riders Club, Bengaluru, gathered at Technopark Campus, Thiruvananthapuram, to plant trees. Col. Sanjeev Nair (Retd) inaugurated the event by joining the bikers for a ride and planting the first tree. The plantation drive also saw enthusiastic participation from Technopark employees.
The tree plantation was preceded by a short ride to the site. Motorcycle clubs from the capital city, including XBHP Kerala, Royal Riders Kerala, Dauntless Royal Explorers, The Royals, Spinning Travellers, and Indrian Royal Cruisers, also took part in the ride. It’s events like these that help bikers showcase their commitment to the environment and future generations.
The next phase of SER 2024 will be held in Kochi and Bangalore on August 4, 2024. This year, SER 2024 aims to plant 10,000 trees across 50 cities in India and abroad.
