More from Motoring

After several months with the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, it’s time to bid farewell to what has been one of the most comfortable and capable electric vehicles we’ve ever tested. This luxurious workhorse has been an integral part of our shoots, whether chasing performance cars on track or navigating city streets for compact SUV reviews. Its plush, ventilated massage seats deserve special praise; they’re so impeccably designed that you can effortlessly find the perfect driving position, making early mornings and late-night drives feel effortless. Even our photographer interns, usually indifferent to test cars, grew attached to its first-class cabin experience.

The only gripe? Charging. While the EQS SUV remains the range king (our Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai run on a single charge proved that), relying on public fast chargers occasionally tested patience. That said, with infrastructure improving, even this minor inconvenience became less of an issue over time.

What we’ll miss most is the effortless blend of luxury and practicality—a silent, smooth ride paired with enough tech to make every journey feel premium. The EQS SUV wasn’t just a vehicle; it was a mobile sanctuary. As we hand back the keys, one thing is clear: no other EV does comfort and range quite like this Mercedes. It’s been a privilege.
