BMW Motorrad’s track scorcher, the S 1000 RR, has been updated for the 2022 model. A new ‘Style Passion with Mineral Grey metallic’ colourway is on offer, which is a very fancy way of saying ‘metallic grey and black.’ Red accents on the body brighten up proceedings.
You also get an M chassis kit as standard fitment, consisting of a swingarm with an adjustable pivot point and a rear lift. The adjustable pivot helps you change the geometry according to the track you’re on. Dynamic, Race and M packages are available as options. Dynamic has cruise, control, heated grips, DDC and Riding Modes Pro. Race adds an M Endurance chain and a sports can, with a further option of an M titanium can. M throws in an M Sports seat and lightweight battery, GPS lap trigger and carbon or forged wheels.
No changes have been made to the overall design or the engine, which means the 2022 S 1000 RR still has a 999cc, liquid-cooled inline-four that makes a stonking 207 bhp and 11.5 kgm. An India launch is expected later this month.
