Many say, ‘What’s in the name?’ and Hyundai’s upcoming ‘SUV’ goes by the name of Exter. No, that’s not a typo for Dexter, as far as we know. Hyundai says the Exter SUV symbolises outdoor, travel and urban lifestyles. To woo the Gen Z, this all-new SUV will be equipped with smart mobility features.
Hyundai already has the Venue, Venue N Line, Creta, Alcazar, Kona Electric, Tucson and Ioniq 5 in its lineup. The Exter will be the eighth model in its SUV lineup. Back in September 2021, Hyundai unveiled the Casper to the world — its smallest SUV. The Casper is 3595 mm long, 1595 mm wide, and 1575 mm high. More SUV-like characteristics are added to its sides, such as squared wheel arches, body cladding, roof rails, blacked-out pillars, and so on. You can read more about the Hyundai Casper here.
Coming to the Exter, Hyundai’s shared no details on its engines. We think it will most likely be available in two engine options — the 82-bhp 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine and the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Well, this puts the Tata Punch in Exter’s crosshair. Stay tuned for more details on the Hyundai Exter.
