Kawasaki recently introduced the W175 Street in India, however, some foreign markets also have a third variant of this retro roadster — the W175TR. So, what makes it unique compared to the other trims?
The Kawasaki W175TR is essentially a more versatile iteration of the roadster. It features a different suspension setup, raised fenders, tall handlebar, tuck-and-roll seat, bash plate, an upswept exhaust and dual-purpose tyres. All that, coupled with its kerb weight of just 121 kg should make it a fun ride on the trails.
That said, the W175TR uses the same 177cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 12.87 bhp and 1.3 kgm. There’s no change to the engine tune as well. While the performance numbers may not sound interesting, its featherweight construction should make it fun on technical trails.
Kawasaki has pegged the W175TR at RP 34,300,000 or Rs 1.87 lakh, which is Rs 10,000 more affordable than the cafe racer and standard versions of the roadster in Indonesia. While the chances of us getting this scrambler are bleak, our next best bet is the Hero XPulse 200 if you want to hit some trails.
