The much-awaited Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 is all set to commence January 17 onwards, and we are likely to witness a lot of action from the two-wheeler manufacturers. Here’s what we could see at the expo:
BMW Motorrad
2025 S 1000 RR
Reworked fairing, M 1000 RR-inspired winglets, M short-stroke throttle, brake-cooling duct and a few minor revisions make BMW’s flagship supersport more enticing than ever. Here’s an in-depth look at the 2025 BMW S 1000 RR.
R 1300 GS Adventure
The big-daddy of ADVs is finally arriving in India, and we can’t wait to see it in the flesh. Okay, the utilitarian design may not appeal to everyone, but hey, it has its advantages. Head to this story to know more about the new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure.
Hero MotoCorp
XPulse 210
First unveiled at EICMA 2024, the new XPulse 210 is a completely new model that’ll take the ADV’s legacy ahead. Borrowing the 210cc liquid-cooled engine from the Karizma XMR, the new version of the ADV could now possibly become a much more versatile motorcycle with which one can even tour on.
Xtreme 250R
Hero MotoCorp is finally into the premium performance naked segment with the Xtreme 250R. At EICMA 2024, the Indian marque not only unveiled the motorcycle, but also revealed the key specs, and it looks like it has its eyes set on the KTM 250 Duke.
Karizma XMR 250
With the XPulse upgrading to the 210 platform, the Karizma XMR has now moved to a 250cc engine shared with the Xtreme 250R. And of course, complementing that is the new design with winglets. After all, Hero’s back in the quarter-litre supersport game (fingers crossed) a decade after showcasing the HX250R. Read all about the Hero Karizma XMR 250 in this story.
Xoom 160
In EICMA 2023, Hero MotoCorp showcased the Xoom 160 ADV-style scooter, and the Indian marque might be finally ready with the production version of the scooter. And more interestingly, the Xoom 160 will feature an all-new 155cc liquid-cooled engine.
Honda
CBR650R And CB650R
The mid-displacement inline-four duo have been missing from the Indian showrooms for a while, and look like they are all set to make a comeback. Minor tweaks to the engine and the design, but the highlight will be the new e-clutch that was rolled out for these bikes last year.
CB750 Hornet and the CB1000 Hornet
With the Honda Transalp 750 already on sale in India, it makes sense for the naked sibling to follow. But will Honda be able to price it right in this competitive segment? Oh, and the big Hornet is likely to accompany the CB750, too.
Suzuki
GSX-8S
Of course, Suzuki wouldn’t want to miss out on the fun, and getting the middleweight naked seems like a good start. With the V-Strom 800DE and the GSX-8R already on sale in the country, the naked couldn’t be left out.
DR-Z4S And DR-Z4SM
The Japanese marque revamped the DR-Z400 into the new DR-Z4S — a modern-looking dual-purpose motorcycle with a new 398cc single-cylinder DOHC engine producing 38 bhp and 3.7 kgm. Oh, and there’s a supemoto sibling that could accompany it, too. With the new KTM 390 Enduro R (and the 390 SMC-R, hopefully) due for a launch soon, we’ll get to enjoy some rather interesting motorcycles.
Yamaha
MT-09
After a brief stint in India, it looks like the MT-09 may come back to India soon. The company has teased it through a few brand promos and even showcased it at dealer events. Considering that the middleweight nakeds are raking in good sales, it seems like a good time for this MT to make its India debut.
R7 and the MT-07
With the Triumph Daytona 660, Suzuki GSX-8R and the super expensive Aprilia RS 660 on sale in the country, we should also get to enjoy the thrills of a big(ish) Yamaha supersport, right? And considering the popularity of nakeds, why should the MT-07 be left out.
However, the big concern with these bikes would be the pricing. With R3 and the MT-03 costing up to Rs 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom), the CP2 and CP3-powered bikes could shoot the Rs 10 lakh price mark.
