Aprilia Racing has locked in one of its most successful modern MotoGP partnerships, with Marco Bezzecchi renewing his contract on a multi-year deal, ensuring his future with the Noale-based manufacturer well beyond 2026.
The announcement was made at Sepang and delivered in unmistakably Aprilia fashion — playful, emotional, and steeped in racing romance. Framed as a tongue-in-cheek ‘relationship contract’ between Bezzecchi and the RS-GP, affectionately named Albarosa by the Italian rider, the renewal underlines just how strong the bond has become between rider, machine and team.
Jokes aside, this is a serious statement of intent. Bezzecchi’s first season with Aprilia Racing in 2025 has already rewritten the team’s MotoGP record books. He has emerged as Aprilia’s most successful MotoGP rider to date, claiming three grand prix victories at Silverstone, Portimão and Valencia, along with three sprint wins at Misano, Mandalika and Phillip Island. Add to that 15 podium finishes, five pole positions, and a final championship standing of third overall with 353 points, and the decision to retain him becomes a no-brainer.
Speaking about the renewal, Bezzecchi said he was delighted to continue building a long-term project with Aprilia, highlighting the support from both the racing team and the Noale factory. His focus, he said, remains on delivering results and repaying the faith shown in him.
Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola echoed that sentiment, calling Bezzecchi’s renewal the team’s top priority. Rivola also revealed that Bezzecchi had attracted interest from elsewhere on the grid, making his decision to stay all the more significant.
With Bezzecchi committed and the RS-GP continuing its steady evolution, Aprilia Racing heads into the coming seasons with stability, momentum — and a rider who clearly isn’t ready to say goodbye just yet.
