After spending the majority of 2020 ferrying me around to shoot locations, and once the lockdown restrictions were relaxed, to the gym and football pitches, the Hyundai Aura was in dire need of some TLC. The constant Pune-Mumbai-Pune runs have obviously helped me put on some serious mileage. The resulting wear and tear of parts could be felt, with the brakes feeling a tad too soft. And even though I try my best to keep the car spic and span, there was a certain funky smell that had begun to irritate me.
Luckily, the Hyundai service centre was a kilometre away and after carving a couple of days of breathing space from shoots, the Aura was handed over for a day of rejuvenation. The service was prompt and conducted in a professional manner. The stench was replaced with the smell of freshly washed interiors. The brakes have once again returned to their former brilliance and the driving experience is once again an enjoyable one. With 2021 promising to be all the more exciting, I am glad that both the Aura and I are in a fresh state to get back to the daily grind.
