That’s quite a detailed sketch of the upcoming Skoda Slavia’s interiors. From what we can see, the Slavia will have a digital instrument cluster, a digital touchscreen infotainment system, circular air vents with chrome surround, three cupholders behind the gear knob and an armrest. Oh, wait a minute! We’ve seen a similar-looking interior design on another Skoda, too. Yes, it’s from the fourth-gen Fabia that was unveiled in May.
Now, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the Slavia borrowing the Fabia’s interior design. The Fabia has plenty of goodies to keep our feature-rich Indian market happy. For instance, the Fabia comes with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment display, to name a few. Other features like a heated windscreen and a heated steering wheel will be skipped for the Indian market. But, the one thing that’s quite popular in the Indian market is the generous use of chrome. Well, the circular vents, door handles get the chrome trim surrounds.
But, we’ll have to wait until the 18th of November (Slavia’s world premiere) to know whether the Slavia’s interiors match that of the Fabia’s. However, we did get a chance to get behind the wheel of a pre-production Slavia, you can read all about its first drive impression here.
