This is the fifth-generation Lexus RX, which was first unveiled at the Auto Expo earlier this year. Finally, it’s launched at a starting price of Rs 95.80 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered in two powertrain options — RX350h Luxury Hybrid and RX500h F-Sport+.
Coming to the powertrains, the RX350h Luxury is powered by a 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to a CVT gearbox; when combined with the strong-hybrid system, it produces 247 horsepower. The all-wheel drive variant does the 0-100-kph dash in 7.9 seconds. Its performance variant, the RX500h F-Sport+, is powered by a 2.4-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed auto gearbox. Its strong-hybrid system produces 361 bhp and 46.90 kgm of torque. It has all-wheel drive as standard and accelerates from 0-100 kph in 6.2 seconds.
Inside, the Lexus RX features a huge 14-inch touchscreen infotainment display. It also gets wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. You can even choose between three colour options for the interiors — Black, Dark Sepia and Solis White. And two trim options, which include sumi woodgrain and medium bamboo brown.
