Electric motorcycles are an interesting breed; while it’s true that they do not have gears, a clutch, and of course sound like a conventional motorcycle, they aim to offer the same levels of fun and thrill. Well, this is no time to debate so let’s leave it at that, and instead focus on what Tork Motors has brought forward.
The Indian bike maker has just reduced prices of the Kratos R, making it more affordable than before. From Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), prices of the Tork Kratos R have now dropped down to Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, including subsidies). However, Tork Motors says this price drop is for a limited time period, so if you’re looking to add an electric motorcycle in your garage, you might want to act quick!
The Kratos R received an update last year, bringing a new ECO+ mode. The motorcycles continues to feature the same electric motor churning out 12 bhp and 3.8 kgm of peak torque. Backed by a 4 kWh Li-ion battery pack, the Kratos R gets a claimed range of 180 km on a single charge. The battery pack receives fast-charging as well, with a claimed time of one hour for a 20 to 80 per cent charge. A normal home charger will take six to seven hours to top it up.
