Chinese manufacturer CFMoto has launched its latest, the 675SS, in the American market at USD 7,999 (Rs 6.71 lakh). The motorcycle stays in line with CFMoto’s design language seen on the 450SS and the 300SS, with winglets and other aero elements.
It is powered by the new 675cc inline-triple motor, showcased last year at EICMA, which produces a maximum output of 95 bhp at 11,000 rpm and a peak torque of 7.13 kgm, all transferred to the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission. These figures bring it right within the range of the new Triumph Daytona 660, which was recently launched in India.
The 675SS has a unidirectional quickshifter, an adjustable traction control system, and dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle also gets a five-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, TPMS, a lap timer, a USB type-C charging port, and over-the-air updates. It further gets LED lighting and an LED tail lamp with integrated turn signals, mounted onto the fender.
The 675SS features a fully adjustable KYB USD fork up front and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload and rebound. The bike rides on 120/70 R17 front and 180/55 R17 rear tyres. In an ideal world, we would love to see it hit our roads, but it doesn’t look like that will happen anytime soon.
