TVS, in the spirit of its ‘unscripted’ philosophy, has launched the TVS Ronin Drift R School, giving riders the opportunity to experience the thrill of flat track racing.
Participants will train on customised Ronin flat trackers under the guidance of experts like Aishwarya Pissay, the first Indian to ever clinch a world title in motorsports in the FIM Bajas World Cup, and Nilesh ‘Nelly’ Dhumal, the head trainer at Pro Dirt Adventure.
The sessions will focus on core flat track techniques, including sliding and cornering, all conducted in a controlled environment designed to build both skill and confidence.
Does the bike seem familiar? That’s because it first made an appearance at MotoSoul 2023, where TVS unveiled its custom flat track Ronin, making it the second Indian manufacturer, after Royal Enfield, to build a flat track-specific motorcycle.
This custom TVS Ronin comes with a slew of flat-tracking upgrades with a flatter single-seat unit, block-pattern Timsun tyres, a new handlebar, and a race exhaust. It also gets a broader bash plate for underbody protection and the headlight has been replaced with your racing number. Weight-saving changes include removing the stock instrument cluster, side panels, and other heavy components. Bold blue graphics complete the look, turning the Ronin into a purpose-built dirt track performer.
The TVS Ronin is powered by a 225.9cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine producing 20.1 bhp at 7,750 rpm and 1.98 kgm of torque at 3,750 rpm. Paired with a 5-speed gearbox, it serves as a city commuter with an extra bit of punch. And as a flat tracker? Exciting!
