Be it the daily commute or long shoot days, the Hyundai Exter tackles it all
After a month with the Hyundai Exter, it’s clear this little SUV is built to take on the everyday hustle. From weekday commutes to weekend shoots, and even the occasional Mumbai–Pune expressway dash, the Exter has handled it all with surprising ease.
With temperatures soaring this April, the climate control system was a lifesaver, keeping the cabin cool even in the harshest heat. Add to that its impressive fuel efficiency — we’ve been averaging between 19 to 21 kpl — and it’s easy to see why the Exter has been light on the wallet.
Practicality is where the Exter shines. Despite its compact dimensions, the cabin feels airy and spacious. The boot, too, proved more than capable during magazine shoots, swallowing up equipment and backpacks with room to spare.
On the flip side, the front seats could use more support for longer journeys. Still, this manual variant feels zippy and light on its feet in the city, making daily drives genuinely enjoyable.
All things considered, the Exter has been a dependable and efficient companion in our long-term garage. One month in, and it’s ticking the right boxes for a daily driver.
