Kia India has officially teased its upcoming electric SUV, the EV9, ahead of its much-anticipated launch on October 3. Following the success of the EV6, this will be Kia’s second all-electric vehicle in the Indian market.

First unveiled as a concept at the 2023 Auto Expo, the EV9 impressed with its futuristic design and cutting-edge technology. Now, it’s ready to debut in production form, bringing several exciting features to Indian roads.

The EV9 stands out with a bold, aerodynamic silhouette, resembling a futuristic spacecraft. Its sharp lines, sleek LED lighting elements, and imposing stance give it a commanding presence.

Like the EV6, the EV9 is built on the E-GMP platform, which provides a strong foundation for its electric powertrain and advanced tech, ensuring top-notch performance and safety.

The EV9 is expected to deliver an impressive range per charge, courtesy of its efficient electric motor and high-capacity battery. It will also support fast charging, enabling quick top-ups for longer journeys.

Inside, the EV9 is set to offer a spacious and luxurious cabin, with premium materials and cutting-edge technology. It’s expected to be available in 6- and 7-seater configurations, catering to both comfort and practicality for families.

Kia is likely to load the EV9 with a suite of advanced features, including a large touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, and a comprehensive suite of driver assistance technologies (ADAS).

With an expected price tag north of Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom), the Kia EV9 will position itself as a premium electric SUV, competing with high-end rivals like the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, BMW iX, and Audi Q8 e-tron. Keep an eye out for more details as the official launch approaches.
