KTM has officially launched the latest generation of the 390 Adventure, and it’s a game-changer. Priced at Rs 3.68 lakh (ex-showroom), this revamped model is built on an all-new platform, shedding most of its predecessors’ components while keeping the essence of KTM’s iconic adventure spirit alive.
At the heart of the new 390 Adventure is the 399cc, single-cylinder engine shared with the latest 390 Duke, which now delivers 45.3 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 3.97 kgm of torque at 7,000 rpm. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a bidirectional quickshifter, the bike promises smooth, responsive acceleration whether you’re on the road or hitting off-road trails. The new steel trellis frame, suspended by adjustable WP suspension, ensures that the bike remains as agile as it is powerful.
One of the most exciting updates is the inclusion of tubeless spoked wheels (21-inch front and 17-inch rear), which improves durability and performance on rugged terrains. Another major addition is cruise control, a first for this class, making long-distance highway rides more comfortable. Despite being slightly heavier than its predecessor at 183kg, the new 390 Adventure features a lower 830mm seat height and an increased 227mm ground clearance, offering better manoeuvrability and handling, especially in tricky off-road conditions.
The 390 Adventure X has also been launched as part of the 2025 Adventure range. Priced at Rs 2.91 lakh (ex-showroom) it keeps things more accessible, with non-adjustable suspension, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cast alloy wheels and road-focused tyres. It also gets offroad ABS, ride-by-wire, a bidirectional quickshifter, a slipper clutch and a 12V USB charging socket, so it’s not exactly bare bones.
